Overview

The Senior Account Executive for the Lifestyle team within the PR division serves as the day-to-day lead and key client contact on specified accounts. This position reports to the Director of the Lifestyle team and provides comprehensive support to develop ideas and drive them through to execution. At times, there will be collaboration with other members of the PR division as well as involvement in new business efforts.

The ideal candidate is a mature professional with solid experience in the PR industry and consumer/corporate sector; someone with equal parts smarts & polish who is skilled at communications strategy as well as the ability to generate and develop creative ideas; has solid project management skills including the ability to ensure that the big picture and the small details are managed with care; and operates with a sense of urgency and a desire to over-deliver on client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage selected accounts with guidance and direction from the Senior Vice President and Division head
  • Serve as day-to-day internal lead and external contact for selected accounts
  • Develop and nurture strong, trusted relationships with all clients
  • Generate strategic communication plans for selected accounts with an eye to developing smart, fresh and buzz-worthy ideas
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of client goals, strategies and priorities
  • Oversee workflow, deadlines, budgets, and resources (both team and dollars) for selected accounts
  • Ensure that monthly/annual or project-based Scope of Work commitments are fulfilled
  • Organize and lead brainstorm/ideation sessions with internal team members
  • Ideate, develop, sell in, and execute client work
  • Manage internal and/or external team members as per each account’s requirements
  • Keep Division head apprised of account status including big ideas, issues and opportunities
  • Ensure Division head is prepared for any client meetings or presentations
  • Be alert to opportunities for additional assignments from current clients, and look for ways for Full Picture to become more essential to their roster of external partners
  • Participate as required in new business pitch submissions and meetings
  • Maintain updated case studies on selected accounts for use in new business pitches

Required Experience & Relationships

  • Minimum five years in public relations with agency experience preferred (over in-house)
  • Minimum three years in consumer and corporate sector with current knowledge of lifestyle brands and key players including executive and brand profile expertise
  • Minimum two years client management experience
  • Hands-on experience writing clear, interesting, effective press releases, media alerts, press pitches, and other materials
  • Strong and current understanding of social media platforms and an ability to increase brand awareness and generate press through this landscape
  • Established relationships with long lead, short lead and online editors in beauty and lifestyle sectors
  • Established relationships with beauty, lifestyle and fashion influencers
